The okapi (Okapia johnstoni) is a unique, herbivorous mammal native to the dense rainforests of the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a body resembling a giraffe and zebra-like stripes on its legs, the okapi is often called the "forest giraffe." Despite its striking appearance, it is a shy and elusive creature, primarily feeding on leaves, buds, and fruits.
